📅 Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Your safari adventure begins early in the morning with pickup from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe by your professional safari guide. You will then begin the scenic journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, passing local villages, rolling hills, tea plantations, and traditional homesteads.

Along the way, you will stop at the Uganda Equator crossing in Kayabwe for photography and a chance to purchase local crafts and souvenirs.

Continue the journey through Mbarara town before arriving at Queen Elizabeth National Park in the afternoon.

After lunch and a short rest at your lodge, you will head for one of the park’s most popular activities — the boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel.

The Kazinga Channel is a natural waterway connecting Lake George and Lake Edward and is famous for hosting one of the highest concentrations of hippos in Africa. During the cruise, you will have excellent opportunities to spot:

Hippos, Nile crocodiles, Buffaloes, Elephants, Water birds, Antelopes along the shores. The boat cruise also offers incredible photography opportunities and beautiful sunset views over the channel. After the cruise, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Return to Kampala

Wake up early for breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive across the Kasenyi plains, one of the best wildlife viewing areas in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

The early morning hours provide excellent chances of spotting predators and other wildlife as they begin their day. During the game drive, you may encounter:

Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffaloes, Hyenas, Uganda kobs, Warthogs, Bushbucks, Giant forest hogs, Various bird species

Your guide will help track wildlife while sharing information about the park’s ecosystems, animals, and birdlife.

If your route includes the Ishasha sector, you may also have the opportunity to see the famous tree-climbing lions resting in fig trees. After the game drive, begin the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe with a lunch stop along the way. Arrival is expected in the evening followed by drop-off at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport.
