Begin your journey in Tanzania with a warm welcome at Kilimanjaro International Airport. From there, you’ll be chauffeured to your luxurious lodgings for the evening, where you can relax and unwind after your flight.

Discover the Wild on Foot and by Vehicle - Day 2: Arusha National Park Walking Safari and Game Drive

Journey to Arusha National Park, home to the majestic Mt Meru and other natural wonders such as the Meru crater, Ngurdoto crater, and Momella lakes. Spot a diverse array of wildlife including buffalos, giraffes, black and white colobus monkeys, and small predators. On clear days, catch a glimpse of the iconic Mt. Kilimanjaro. Embark on a guided walking safari led by an armed park ranger, where you’ll get an up-close encounter with the animals, including zebras, buffalos, waterbucks, bush-backs, warthogs, baboons, and various bird species. The walk takes you across the Jekukumia River to visit a waterfall. The guide will provide insights on the animals, trees, and animal food. In the afternoon, go on a game drive by the Momella lakes, which between May and October, turns pink due to the thousands of flamingos and other water birds on the water. This guided tour provides an in-depth experience of the park’s natural beauty and wildlife.

Tarangire National Park is the only place in Tanzania where you can see gerenuk and oryx, in addition to having the largest wildlife population outside of the Serengeti.
