Days 1 and 2: Road Trip from Kampala to Bwindi National Park and Mountain Gorilla Tracking

On this first day of your safari with Arrive Africa Safaris, you will be welcomed by a tour guide at the Entebbe airport or picked up from your hotel and driven to Kisoro through the Kigezi hills using the Masaka-Mbarara highway. You will arrive at your accommodation in the evening and rest in preparation for the next day’s gorilla trekking.

On the second day, it is important to dress appropriately for the trekking experience, including wearing gloves, long pants, and light but waterproof clothes. After an early breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters for a briefing before heading into the Bwindi forest to search for the mountain gorillas. The tracking may take anywhere from 1 to 9 hours, depending on when you find the gorilla family you will be tracking. During this time, you will have the opportunity to watch the gorillas play, feed, hunt, and interact with each other. After the trek, you will return to your lodge for dinner and rest.
