Day 1: KAMPALA – WILDLIFE SAFARI TO MURCHISON FALLS PARK
Your safari guide will meet you at your Hotel and transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park. You will travel by road with lunch on the way before reaching the park. We will take a tour to the top of the falls as the fist activity on this day of the Murchison Falls National Park wildlife safari. This hike will take you up to the water’s edge where you will have the opportunity to get closer to the narrow gorge through which the River explodes into the falls. Proceed to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay Paraa safari lodge / Red Chilli.
Day 2: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK UGANDA SAFARIS
Morning break fast and take a cool early morning game drive to see the early risers. While on your game drive you will see a variety of game on the Buligi, Albert and Queen’s track north of the River Nile and you will be accompanied by the guide. Wildlife in Queen Elizabeth includes elephant, Rothschild giraffe, Jackson hartebeest, lions, oribis, waterbucks and other game on the grassy hillsides. Return to your lodge for lunch then boat trip on River Nile. Watch out water animals like hippos, crocodiles and other park residents. Dinner and overnight stay Paraa safari lodge / Red Chilli.
Day 3: MURCHISON FALLS – FORT PORTAL
This day you will live Murchison Falls and travel by road to Fort Portal for your Kibale safari. The journey to Fort Portal from Murchison falls is long and rewarding with clear views of plantation and African Homes locally built. Dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge Kibale or Chimpanzee guest house
Day 4: KIBALE NATIONAL PARK & BIGODI SWAMP
This day of your Kibale tour will begin with a cup of coffee and briefing for your chimpanzee tracking tour. Then start your tracking experience in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys and many others. After lunch we will take a guided nature walk to Bigodi Swamp, an initiative under the surrounding communities of Kibale. Bigodi swamp is famous to tourist because of its rich variety of bird species and primates like the red tailored monkeys, black and white colobus and grey cheeked mangabey. Day 5: KIBALE – QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Morning cup of coffee at your lodge in Kibale and start your drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey will take you through the historical Kasese town with a clear view of the mountains of the Moon. A game drive on our way to the accommodation in the middle of the national park gives us the chance to spot waterbucks, warthogs and other wildlife.
After lunch we take on a boat ride along the Kazinga Channel, the channel that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Its shores attract a large number of birdlife, mammals and reptiles year around. The boat cruise on Kazinga channel is a must visit for all tourists visiting Queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner and overnight at luxury Mweya safari lodge or budget Simba Safari Camp.
Day 6: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
This day of your trip to Queen Elizabeth will begin with a game drive to the mating ground of the Uganda kobs. We look for the residents of Queen Elizabeth like lions, elephants, buffaloes and early risers, before transferring at the lodge for lunch. After lunch, go on with our safari after with a guided nature walk to Maramagambo Forest. Here you will visit the bat cave and the blue lake you may also see other primates and bird species in the forest. Dinner and overnight at luxury Mweya safari lodge or budget Simba Safari Camp.
Day 7: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK – BWINDI GORILLA PARK
Morning cup of tea and transfer for your chimpanzee taking safari in Kyambura. You will walk into the gorge of the Kyambura River a home for the chimpanzees in search for Apes (chimpanzees) man’s closest relatives. The hike is stunning down the valley with a variety of birds and butterfly. After the trek we will continue to Bwindi gorilla forest park passing through the traditional homes and locally built. Arrive Bwindi and overnight stay at Gorilla Resort or Buhomma community bandas.
Day 8: GORILLA SAFARI BWINDI
The day begins with briefing at the park head quarters before the gorilla tracking experience. All tourists intending to carry out this activity are expected to be physically fit and should carry enough drinking water. Time spent tracking is between 2 to 8 hours. The tracking safari is an adventure sitting among the gorillas and walking in the dense forest of Bwindi worthwhile for any visitor not to miss while in Africa. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Bandas.
Day 9: BWINDI – LAKE BUNYONYI
Morning cup of coffee and take a community walk around Buhoma. This community walk will take you to the neighboring communities of Bwindi. Have a chance to get involved in activities like traditional dances and cooking this walk will enable you to see the life style and culture of the communities. Lunch and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale with many birds and that’s why it acquired the name it is also the deepest lake in Uganda. You will take canoe ride to the various islands in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay Arcadia cottages/ Bunyonyi overland camp/ Bushara Island.
Day 10: EXPLORE LAKE BUNYONYI
You will take a relaxed breakfast at your lodge. This there a number of activities for you to do. You may take a visit to the local markets in Kabale, Visit plantations, community walk to see the life style of people in Africa, go birding on the lake since the Lake is a home to many birds, play volley or go swimming in the evening. Later transfer to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 11: LAKE BUNYONYI – LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast we depart the Switzerland of Lake Bunyoyi and travel to Lake Mburo Savana National Park. The park is a very special place, every part of it is alive with variety, interest and colour. Lake Mburo contains an extensive area of wetland. The park habours several species of mammals including zebras, impalas, elands, topi, and buffaloes. The bird population includes the rare shoebill stork. Its sculptured landscape with rolling grassy hills and idyllic lakeshore has a varied mosaic of habitants, forest galleries, rich acacia tree valleys, seasonal, and permanent swamps which all support a wealth of wildlife. You will check in at your lodge, lunch carry out a boat ride on the lake. While on the boat ride you will view animals like crocodiles, hippopotamus, and plant species. Dinner and overnight at Mantana lodge or Rwamyo camp
Day 12: LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK – KAMPALA
This last day of your safari will end with game drive in Lake Mburo before traveling to Kampala. The park is endowed with a number of tourist tracks that are used for wildlife viewing with the impalas as the most common species viewed along the impala track. Other animals to see are waterbucks, topis, zebras and warthogs. Travel to Kampala after the game drive with a stop over at the equator and Mpambilwe drum makers for crafts.
