Gorilla Adventure Trip – 5 Days

This is a 5 days gorilla adventure safari in Uganda and Rwanda. This adventures offers a chance to track the rare mountain gorillas in both Uganda and Rwanda. In Uganda, tracking the gentle giants will be in Bwindi Forest, a tropical rainforest that host more than half of the remaining mountain gorillas in the world, while in Rwanda the trek will be in Parc Nationale des Volcans.

ITINERARY

Day 1: KAMPALA – BWINDI NATIONAL PARK

This morning will start with a cup of coffee at your lodge before departing by road to the south western direction of Uganda for your Bwindi gorilla trek safari. You will have to stop in   Mbarara for your lunch afterwards  proceed to the Impenetrable forest of Bwindi arriving late in the evening  in time for dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla Resort of Budget Buhoma community Bandas.

Day 2:  BWINDI NATIONAL PARK GORILLA SAFARI

Gorilla safari highlights of the day:  morning cup of coffee and search for the mountain gorillas in the jungle forest of Bwindi!! Gorilla trekkers will take the most exciting and memorable activity of trekking the Mountain gorillas in the thick jungle. The time spent trekking depends on the movement of these gorillas, it’s a bout 2 to 8 hours. Before you start the trekking you should Expect to hike for a long distance under muddy and steep conditions before seeing the great apes in the Jungle. The gorilla trekking experience obviously rewarding as you sit, play and talk to them.  To protect the gorillas and visitors, no one with communicable diseases such as diarrhea is allowed to visit the gorillas. After trekking you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: BWINDI NATIONAL PARK – TOUR VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK GORILLA.
 
This will mark our last day in Bwindi gorilla forest and cross to the boarder for Rwanda To avoid inconveniences visitor planning to visit Rwanda are advised to work on their Visas before their safari. You will drive direct to the stunning Parc National des Volcans check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge or Kinigi Guest. House.

Day 4: GORILLA TREK PARC VOLCANOES

This day will be rewarding with the second chance to trek the mountain gorillas of Rwanda. You will hike into Volcano Virunga Hills and green Valley in search for the gorillas. After trekking you will be transferred back to your lodge dinner and overnight stay with memories of the gorilla trek experience. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge or Kinigi Guest. House.

Day 6: RWANDA / UGANDA  
Morning cup of coffee and say goodbye to Rwanda the land of thousand hills. You will reach Uganda late in the evening and drive to Entebbe Airport to meet your flight.
This day will end with a City Tour in Kigali as an optional activity before transferring to Kigali Airport for your International flight. While on the tour you will visit places like memorial centre, Local schools and colorful markets.
